I watched the iTunes video. It was obvious that iTunes had to do with downloading music but I did not realize you can download movies and books also! AND... the amount of apps that available is pretty insane!
I was an avid Mac user before so I am learning the little tricks for making it easier to use my iPad such as locking the screen, web clips, and copying and pasting.
Like Amber G., I have been an experienced Mac user from way back! I love my iPod and I am sure to soon love an iPad (Christmas and my birthday are coming) I look forward to using my iPad as I use some of my iPod apps and am even more excited to access iMovie which I currently work on with my Mac.
I just purchased an iPhone this summer and I have been amazed at the apps and how user friendly it is. Soon we will own an iPad - I'm sure! As I was reading and watching videos about the many features of the iPad I got to see one in action in our Special Ed classroom. The students responded enthusiastically to using apps that helped them learn their letters. It was AMAZING to watch. What a great tool!
I'm using the IPod for this class. There's so much to learn. I downloaded the user's guide and am enjoying learning all the cool stuff I can do. Great for videos. Still watching the guided tours!-- Cindy
Well... I'm a little late to the discussions... Which seems to be my style these days. Sorry I'll do better. I am using an IPad 2 that my family recently bought. I am addicted to using it for everything. I watched many of the videos. I can't wait to use the FaceTime app. I just recently sent my daughter away to college and I constantly want to find new ways to keep in contact with her in her new life.
What have I learned about the iPad that I didn't already know? Let me count....1) I haven't even begun to tap in to what I can do with the iPad. 2) the realm of possibility is limitless on the iPad. 3) there are apps out there that will help me in my role as a guidance counselor. Here are a few I hope to learn more about: SoundNote, tutor.com, iTranslate, Skype, IEP Checklist, QuickVoive, and TapForms. 4) Reading the manual helps. For years I've been frustrated with Apple for making it so difficult to make a correction when you have a typo. Now I discover the magnifying glass. It rocks!
